AI that can sing – complete review
Udio Review
In general, Udio works fairly well for everyone- even if you are just starting to write songs.
So, if you have this awesome music idea in your head, Udio can help you bring it to life…
And remember you can use it to make the whole song, or just parts of it.
Oh, and you can even make different sounds separately, depending on what your audience loves!
Then, you can submit your song on a platform that accepts AI generated music (such as Landr for distribution to Apple, Spotify, Deezer and more).
The other option is to have your music remain in Udio…there, everyone can listen to it!
Now, there are tons of people there who love music, including a couple of artists and musicians so your music will be enjoying exclusive audience.
Don’t forget to follow people who make music that you like- because networking with your fellow creators will help you create meaningful connections (imagine them sharing your music out there?)
Heads up: Songs come out in 32 seconds clips but you can extend the sections you love- but you must subscribe to get this feature.
Key features
Create a Song Instantly
You simply type a prompt describing the music you want to create or upload an audio clip you had created previously to get started. You only need to have some idea of the exact musical genre you want to try, some lyrics (get them from ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, etc) or even a topic.
Example: In the displayed prompt box, type “a classic rock about New York” and then click Create
Instrumentals and Custom lyrics
Udio typically chooses appropriate lyrics automatically for your prompt (it outputs instrumental tracks where it is sensible to do so too)..however, you can select Custom mode (in the lyrics area of your prompt box and enter your lyrics into the provided text if you want to- maybe you are unhappy with your AI song lyrics)
Select Instrumental mode to force your song to be instrumental.
Completes production process
Udio is one AI that can make a song from 0 to 100%– you can complete the whole production process starting with the ideation phase, generating stems (for commercial release) and export (see next feature).
Export options
You can export to a DAW(if not so, upload your audio to Udio’s advanced AI editing tools and finetune your creation).
Creates music in more languages
Udio sings in the following languages(more languages coming):
- Japanese
- Chinese
- Russian
- Italian
- German
- Polish
- French
In short, your lyrics can be in all the above languages (not just in English).
Be sure to split lyrics up if you notice it pronouncing some words badly – splitting into easier phonemes helps improve its pronunciation.
Manual mode
Choose manual mode(click manual switch in prompt box) if you want to give super precise prompts- to get the best version of the song you have in mind without too much hassle..But be careful because you want to give it the best description now that Udio model won’t rewrite prompts when in manual mode.
Remixing Songs
You can create a remix of any existing clip – To do that, select the track you want to remix (you can remix 30’s tracks at the moment) then click Remix on track page(or context menu).
Compared to the standard creation mode, there is one new area in the prompt box:
Inpainting
This feature- available for paying subscribers- helps you correct any mistakes that you see when composing your track.
Advanced features
Set random seed -to make your clips reproducible (manual mode only)
Set lyrics or prompt strength- Higher prompt-strength enhances adherence, though you music is likely to sound less natural. In contrast, Lower lyrics-strength will give you more natural sounding vocals (though the model sometimes ignores lyrics).

Suno AI review
Suno AI is a little bit older than Udio but remains Udio’s biggest competitor when it comes to AI music generation tools.
Yeah, even the songs I listened to when I went to the Suno AI music examples page are pretty much very realistic (regardless of the style and genre, I also find the range nicely dynamic and the emotion emphasis cool).
So if you are looking for AI that can compose songs- perhaps you are struggling with a writers block or just feeling like exploring AI apps that can sing- then Suno AI is a fantastic option.
And it’s so easy to use – from writing good lyrics and melodies all the way to exporting your final track- you only have to type in a simple prompt then tell it “Create”.
The only major downside is that Suno won’t let you create too long songs..

AI that can sing -Conclusion
I think if you want to create really cool music, AI can take you very close to perfection.
And when you imagine that AI for music is in it’s very early stages, it’s just incredible what is going to happen a few years from now- pretty much anyone who can type prompts in a PC could become the next Michael Jackson, or Madonna or Even Bob Marley.
For now I would suggest you try Udio (at Udio.com) and Suno (Suno.com)- and see what you can get (be creative and play around-both have free trials).
The best part? Since the developers working on these AI that can make songs tools are burning the midnight oil, very soon we might have a complete AI that sings songs platform.
How amazing will that be?
See you in our next review..Where we shall look at Music Gen (Also an AI for music tool by Meta that’s good but not as good as Suno and Udio)
PS: In a landmark ruling, US copyright office has ruled that music generated by AI cannot be copyrighted(no creative work, they say) – so keep that in mind (we don’t know if that might change in the years ahead, as AI becomes mainstream)
