Our Dream AI is it safe?: Before you put your time, money or personal conversations into our dream AI platform, there’s one question that you should ask: how seriously does the company take safety?
So I went through OurDream AI’s actual Trust & Safety documentation—and here’s what I found
Our Dream AI is it safe? I Checked Its Safety Policies
So today, in my question to find our how safe is our dream AI, I went straight to OurDream AI’s own Trust & Safety documentation (Their own published safety policies).
And I found some things that are actually quite interesting regarding how they protect you, as a user.
Here they are….
You are creating with software — not a real person.
First, it is important to understand what you are dealing with:
And here, I noted that OurDream describes itself as an AI character and roleplay platform.
Which clearly means that“You are interacting with software — not a real person”.
Their safety documentation emphasizes that the characters you create are AI-generated so they don’t have feelings, memories or even an independent ‘life’ outside the model.
That’s worth knowing because sometimes the AI characters can feel like they are humans.
So it is clear here: It may feel human (depending on your emotions) but NO…there is an actual person on the other side.
Underline that..
Let’s now go through the big safety rules…
Safety Rule Number 1: Adults Only
Now here’s where it starts to get serious..
OurDream AI says it is an 18 + o n l y platform.
More importantly, according to its published principles, that applies not just to you, when using the platform, but also to the characters it generates..mind you, it generates extremely realistic characters
So again there’s no “it’s fiction” exception.
Or some creative workaround.
Nope…the policy states that the rule is absolute…creators and what they create will always be grown ups….adults..not min0rs…and that’s why they have some age verification mechanism built it…
So they are not gambling with age……1 8 + to use it …as well as for your creations…..
Safety Rule Number 2: Real People Are Out-of-bounds
The second thing I found particularly interesting is this:
OurDream AI says real people/personalities are off-limits.
So you cannot clone celebrities, public figures and any private individuals (so you cannot be cloned)…anybody trying to do that is blocked by some auto triggered rules..
By the way the rule -that will block you or any creator attempting to do that- can also be triggered by a recognisable likeness, a person’s name, or biographical details pointing to one specific individual.
That is what I read in the policy
And honestly, this is one of the areas where AI platforms need clear rules.
Because generating fictional characters is one thing.
Generating realistic content involving an identifiable real person without their consent is, of course, a whole different matter.
Safety Rule Number 3: Our Dream AI won’t sell your private chats
Now let’s get to the question I think many people will actually care about.
What happens to your conversations?
Because if you’re chatting with an AI character, you may be sharing things that you wouldn’t necessarily want publicly associated with you.
So I went looking for the answer.
Good news: It says “We won’t sell your chats.”
This is one of OurDream’s explicit commitments.
Their policy plainly says PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS WITH CHARACTERS AREN’T FOR SALE.
Now, I want to make something very clear here.
This does not mean you should interpret that as:
“Anything I tell the platform can never be accessed under any circumstances.”
No….Their documentation also explains that user data may be shared with operational vendors listed in their Privacy Policy….the platform runs with the help of a couple of AI service providers and these has access to some data….depending on where they come in..
So the accurate takeaway for you is:
OurDream says it does not sell your chats or user data.
But there are some circumstances under which data could ever be accessed…as mentioned above
And I think that’s another pretty important highlight.
Here’s the next interesting one.
Safety Rule Number 4: Creators don’t see your private chats
Suppose someone creates a popular AI character.
Can that creator see who is chatting with their character?
According to OurDream’s published policy:
No.
Creators can see total statistics…from the dashboard
But OurDream says they don’t get users’ usernames, chat content or any identifying information about people who are interacting with their best characters.
Needless to say, that’s also a crucial privacy differentiation…compared to some of its alternatives..some are not as protecting
Safety Rule Number 5: Our Dream AI Moderates Things, Very Effectively
Moderation…….yes, you heard me right….
We all know this: It’s easy for a company to say: “We have moderation.”
But rarery are you told how they are doing….or even whether it’s working
Now, OurDream describes its approach as defense in depth.
To put it in black and white, moderation here doesn’t depend on just one filter.
The safety documentation says moderation happens across:
- Input.
- Output.
- And review.
From what I read, I’d describe the system as in reality a hybrid approach..
Because:
automated classifiers handle volume, while human reviewers handle cases that need human judgment.
On top of that, appeals are reviewed by a human rather than simply being decided by an algorithm.

HUMAN REVIEW WHEN NEEDED
In a nutshell, that’s what they say the system looks like.
Keep that in mind, if you have been wondering how they keep things in control..
Safety Rule Number 6: Our Dream AI Explains Why The Systems Takes Certain actions
According to their principles page, if you have a rejected submission, you will receive a reason.
And you will even get a notice, if you have content removed…
They don’t stop there…if you feel that they erred in rejecting or removing your creations, you can always appeal….and in a straightforward way.
Just email trust [at] ourdream [dot] ai to appeal any content decision.
Why is this helpful?
Well, if an AI platform simply blocks something without explaining anything, you will never know whether you actually violated a rule or whether it is the moderation system that made a mistake.
In short, OurDream with our dream, you will always understand what happened.
That means you will better prompt it next time.
Still related to moderation, we have another vital rule worth noting…
Safety Rule Number 7: They make it difficult to game the system / evade filters
What about people trying to bypass the filters?
OurDream once again explicitly says it has a team that is always looking for loopholes- and sealing them
For example, nobody will succeed in trying the following:
- Trying to hide prohibited content through another language.
- Disguising someone’s age …we said no little ones
- Engineering prompts specifically to get around detection.
None will make this kind of content acceptable.
Why?
The safety and trust page they look more at the intent, than the literal wording of the prompt.
To me, that’s without a doubt a much more sensible approach to AI moderation.
Because otherwise, people would simply spend their time figuring out how to trick the filter.
Our Dream AI is it safe?
So after going through all of this…
Is OurDream AI safe?
Well, I wouldn’t give you the lazy answer and say:
“Yes. It’s 100% safe.”
No internet platform can realistically promise that.
What I can say is that OurDream has published a fairly detailed Trust & Safety framework explaining what it says it allows, what it prohibits, how moderation works and what it does with user data.
And some of its commitments are very clear:
No content depicting m i n o r s.
No characters based on real people.
No selling your chats.
No selling or volunteering user data outside the circumstances described in its policies.
And users are supposed to be told when content is removed and why.
These are OurDream’s published policies and commitments.
Which I find significantly reassuring..and better than what many of similar platforms offers..
But it is not for me to decide for you- you should still read the Privacy Policy, understand everything and decide.
That’s good practice with any AI platform.
